REFLECTION

Throughout the course, I have discovered the power of using illustration to express the visual storytelling of my artwork. Illustration plays a certain role in every design so it’s very useful for me to learn with this course. When we were doing our project in IVN class, we were usually required to do a progression board before we started to do our actual outcome. We have to do a concept board, sketches and rationale. I think that this progress is quite beneficial for us to do our further work because that will be very convenient in doing our project. That should be a thing that I might cultivate as a habit before doing my other work in the future. At first, I was also frustrated when we were doing our work in Adobe Illustrator but gratefully our lecturer Mr. Hariz patiently taught us in our online classes and showed us different techniques to make our illustrations perfect. These techniques will help me a lot to get a good illustration and play with different unique styles. IVN projects are mostly interesting such as creating our own urban legend and making it into 3 transitions. I have also discovered that researching is very important in IVN class, we can always get the inspiration in some research and make it in our own style. Overall, I find interest in IVN class and I will definitely use what I have learned in this course when it comes to my further assignments.
