Week 1 we are required to watch some stop motion shorts and find our 3 favorite videos to share in the blog.

Although the stop motion is quite simple but I think the storyline is very interesting. With the sound effect increasing the characters become vivid in the video. The last scene is unexpected, giving a surprise ending and a funny storyline.
Before we started officially filming our final project, Mr. Martin split us into groups to have a trial on shooting stop motion video. We used a phone and camera to shoot each stop-motion video. This was a good experience to let us get more familiar with shooting stop-motion video before we started filming our final project.
2.
This stop motion is very professional and the sound effect is so satisfying. The clay combines together perfectly and the lighting is all good. Although the storyline is simple, but it leaves the viewers craving for more.
3.
I like the third one the most, the lighting and storyline are all perfect. The creativity and completion of the video are also very nice. I like this kind of visual storytelling and it also fully expresses the content to the viewers in an interesting way.

Final Project - Stop Motion
This project is optional for individuals or groups with other people so I had chosen to group with my friend, Sue Zhiun. For 2 people we must do at least 1 minute stop motion video and edit it in Premiere Pro. We are first done with the Proposal to finalize our storyboard, visual reference, etc.
Proposal
We used clay as our main material in this stop motion video such as the duck characters, background trees and the sun/moon. After we had decided on the storyboard, we bought our clay and board on Shopee, and then we did our clay together on campus.

We shot in the studio and used the stop animation app to film it. Sue Zhiun did the camera job and I was the stop-motion animator.

After our stop animation video, we started editing our video in Adobe Premiere Pro. We need to add sound effects, dialogue and some transition effects to enhance the richness and integrity of the video. Me and Sue Zhiun take part in it, and we also distribute each character's dialogue.
We first combine our raw materials in one Google Drive folder.

REFLECTION
I had an excellent experience doing this final project, the process was fascinating and the outcome was filming well. My friend Sue Zhiun is also a good team player she takes care of every detail part and we cooperate positively. Filming a stop motion animation looks easy but it's totally not easy work. It requires a lot of patience when filming, preparing the material, brainstorming the content, and also doing the editing work to present a creative and educational video. Luckily, we had processed smoothly and also had an outcome video that was quite satisfying.
