Composition:
Watching the videos and reading provided by Mr. Martin is really useful to me. The shot size, framing, camera angles, and composition gave me valuable insights into filmmaking. Different kinds of shot sizes, from close-ups to wide shots will affect how viewers perceive the scene, while framing determines what the audience focuses on.
We need to understand how to evoke emotions and feelings that can reveal different perspectives by using camera angles. For example, low angles can make subjects look powerful, while high angles can make them seem vulnerable.
Composition plays an important role when they want to create visually appealing and meaningful shots. There are shooting techniques such as the rule of thirds that may lead lines to help guide the viewer's eye and make improvements in storytelling. These skills are necessary for creating engaging and effective visual narratives.

Premier Pro Editing Exercise
Exercise 2
Second exercise we had to edit a video that were acted by our senior. The original of the video is from "LALIN"(a short film from Thailand ). After watching the original video and the tutorial video, we arrange the footage and started editing. We have to edit it to 35 seconds sharp as Mr. Martin required.
Three-Act Story Structure
The three-act story structure is a popular narrative framework used in storytelling, particularly in film and literature. It divides a story into three distinct parts: the setup, the confrontation, and the resolution.
Act One: The Setup The first act establishes the protagonist, their world, and the situation they find themselves in. This act typically ends with an inciting incident, which sets the story in motion and creates a problem that the protagonist must solve. The inciting incident can be a positive or negative event, but it must be significant enough to disrupt the protagonist's world and force them to take action.
Act Two: The Confrontation The second act is the longest and most complex of the three acts. It's where the protagonist faces a series of obstacles and challenges as they work towards their goal. This act is often divided into two parts: the first half, where the protagonist makes progress towards their goal, and the second half, where they encounter setbacks and complications. The second act typically ends with a major turning point, where the protagonist faces a significant setback or crisis that forces them to reevaluate their approach.
Act Three: The Resolution The third act is where the story reaches its climax and resolution. The protagonist must confront their final challenge or conflict and overcome it in order to achieve their goal. The climax is the most intense and dramatic part of the story, where the stakes are highest and the tension is at its peak. The resolution, on the other hand, is the denouement, where loose ends are tied up, and the protagonist's journey comes to a satisfying conclusion.

What is storyboard?
How to make storyboard
Learning about storyboarding plays a really vital role in filmmaking. A storyboard is a visual representation of a film sequence and break down the action into individual panels. A good storyboard consists of a series of sequential drawings that contain camera direction, dialogue, or other pertinent details. It reveals the development of the story shot by shot.
Creating a storyboard involves breaking down the script into scenes and visualizing each moment, including shot sizes and composition. This preparation helps identify potential problems and can allow for solving the problem or making changes before filming begins.
Storyboarding is essential for visualizing the narrative and aligning the team's vision when doing teamwork. This can be a helpful preparation for any of the filming projects and it will ensure a smooth production process.

(1)Production Stages
(2)Production Crew
Film production involves five distinct stages which are development, pre-production, production, post-production and distribution. Different stages have many different works on it such as development, where ideas and scripts come out. Development includes 2 primary phases which are the package and financing. Then to the pre-production, refer to all the preparation necessary before filming begins. It includes 3 major things which are budgeting, pre-visualizing and getting the team together.
Finally come to the production, where is the actual filming. There are tons of moving elements such as call sheet, set up and shooting. Post-production refers to all the work that is done after footage is captured to finish the film. Many elements play in this stage such as picture editing, sound editing and additional visuals. Lastly is the distribution stage, where the film is ready to be released to audiences. There will be multiple tasks and steps that should be discussed in marketing and securing distribution.
If we want to make a production crew, there will be multiple tasks for each person to complete. There are some essential roles like producer, director, screenwriter, production designer, art director, costume director, cinematographer, editor, actors and music supervisor.

Week 7
Asynchronous Class Materials Reflection
This week we have an understanding of color correction and colur grading. Color correction is mainly adjusting the footage to ensure that colors makes it appear natural, realistic, clean and real. Color grading is more on creative process and it enhances the specific atmosphere and emotion to shots by coloring it with an unnatural ways. It also helps in establishing the visual tone and it is important for storytelling as it can influence audience emotions.
In the article, I added my knowledge of color hue, color saturation, color brightness, etc. These 3 conclude as "HSB" and this combination is to make up the basic color concerns of any video image. Hue means the color itself and it's also is the difference between red and blue in the simplest terms. It can be altered by saturation and brightness.
Saturation refers to the intensity of color and it can be changed by the amount of grey in hue. The outcome should be "pop" or "muddy" and also can be made in the saturation session. Brightness is the level of the light in the color. The adjustment of color brightness and color saturation on color hue would affect the audience's feelings, as intense saturation and high brightness would make audience feel energetic and happy, whereas the same hue with high saturation and low brightness value may evoke dread.

REFLECTION
This is my first time exploring Adobe Premiere Pro to edit videos. Mr. Martin demonstrated to us the basic operation and let us get more familiar with it. I did not edit videos usually so I did face some difficulties at first, but as long as I have completed all the editing exercises, I'm more comfortable in it and enjoying the process. It is quite satisfying to see the video outcome and learn new knowledge in the lectures such as the camera shot size, storyboard and production stages. I really looking forward to acquiring new editing skills and enhancing my knowledge in this module.
