REFLECTION
Experience
Throughout these 14 weeks, I have learned a lot and explored different designs. Among the tasks, I found the outcome of Task 3 to be the most satisfying, I discovered that font design is very interesting. Each task taught me different things. For instance, in Task 1, we learned about the 8 typographic systems and experimented with fonts. Task 2, which required us to create key artwork that reflects ourselves and develop it into a brand, Task 3 is to create a font that requires careful attention to grids, guides, and font consistency. I think that Advanced Typography is more interesting than basic Typography, as it demands more creativity and professionalism. I really enjoy doing this kind of stuff and looking forward to learning something new next semester.
Observations
I observed that creating a professional font is extremely challenging. Additionally, brainstorming and expanding on key artwork are also difficult. Mr. Vinod emphasized the importance of expansion in creating good key artwork. I need to enhance my design skills by increasing my knowledge and conducting further research.
Findings
Although the process of completing these tasks is tiring and involves many difficulties, I genuinely enjoy design. Overall, I need to improve my time management to accomplish my work more effectively and achieve good results.
