Inspirations

Figure 1.1 Inspirations |
At first, I had no idea what my brand guidelines should look like, so I went through Pinterest and got some ideas from it. I try to find something clean but at the same time its interesting and fun references to fit into my brand identity.
I started creating different grids of my brand guideline layout to choose which one I was the most satisfied with. These are the final decisions for my brand guideline grids.

I also tried the grid settings by placing my table of contents to see if the settings were working on my layouts.

Finding Images
Most of the images I found are on Pinterest, I aim to find cute collectible products to fit in my blind box brand Starry. The images really helped a lot and played an important role in enriching the visuals in the brand guideline.

Adjustment
Based on the feedback given by Ms. Lilian, I refined my Task 3 corporate stationery (Business Card) and digital presence (Social Media). Thus, I also edited the Brand Value, USP and Brand Positioning Statement from Task 3. There are also 2 added content, which are Brand Personality and Logo Do's and Don't.

I had also added some effects in the background design to make it more blend in.

Interactive Settings
Below are the bookmarks that I set for my navigation. I also set the navigation bar and content with hover effects so that the colors change when users interact with the buttons. To ensure all the buttons are working, I also did some research on YouTube tutorials.

REFLECTION
Experience: This is the first time that I explored how Indesign can do interactive and animation settings to do an e-book. Throughout this task, I became more familiar with using Indesign and explored its various functions. The overall process is quite interesting and fun to do different functions to make my brand guideline more attractive.
Observations: I observed that the main objectives of brand guidelines are communicating the messages and presenting brand consistency to the audience. At first, I was not so sure about my ideas, but after doing some research, I got the inspiration. I also observed that brand guidelines are effective when creating a brand identity.
Findings: When I was in the process of doing brand guidelines, I also found out that following the restriction of a brand is hard, we need to take care of the identity, the style, and the guidelines we had set before, every movement needs to be thought wise, which are to make sure the brand is consistent and clear. I learned a lot because these actions are so important when creating a brand.
